Qualifications
• Education: Minimum of GED or High School Diploma
• Excellent attendance record
• Excellent communication skills oral and written
• Positive interpersonal skills
• Verification of successful work performance 
• Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical behavior
• This individual will exhibit skills pertinent to foster positive human relationships and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the community

Work Schedule: Dependent upon position
Hours to Work: 8 hours / day
Responsibilities

Special education aides work under the overall supervision of their building administration with direct supervision provided by a special education teacher. They are employed when required to implement special education or related services for a class and/or to provide direct assistance to students. Their duties will vary depending upon the age of students served as well as the nature and severity of the student’s disabilities.
